Message from the President

A very warm welcome to the website of Garment Association - Nepal (GAN)

Post quota phase out, the Garment Industry in Nepal has seen many ups and downs and has been faced with surmounting challenges.

However, we have taken those challenges head on, with never - say - die attitude. The latest global financial crisis has further reduced the Nepali apparel exports to the United States, adding more problems in the Nepali garment industry.

One of the reasons for this critical situation is due to insufficient commitments at the industry and policy levels to respond to the foreseen adjustment problems in trade without quotas. We are committed towards capacity building and policy innovation for responding to the changed scenario with coordination between the private sector and the government.

This website has been constructed by GAN, to disseminate information related to garment industry in Nepal.
