| >> GAN Members leave to USA to participate in the Magic Show (August 22, 2003) |
Mr. Udaya Raj Pandey, General Secretary of Garment Association – Nepal, led the delegation of the member industries, today, to USA who are going to participate in one of the world's best trade show – the Magic International Show to be held at Las Vegas from August 25 to 28, 2003. The other members of delegation comprise Mr. Bharat Prasad Dhakal of Siwani Fashion Garment P. Ltd., Ms. Sophie KC of Basu's Export House, Mr. Chandi Prasad Aryal of Jasun Fashion and Mr. Hishi Bajracharya of Bato Garments. The two other participating member industries in the show are Utility Garment Industries and Nepalese Clothing P. Ltd. The President, Mr. Kiran Prakash Saakha and the member entrepreneur Mr. M.P. Choudhary were present at TIA to farewell the participating members in the Magic Show.
The participating members belief that Magic Show will tremendously boost the export of their readymade garments to USA – a major market of Nepalese garments.
General Secretary, Mr. Pandey, will also visit Royal Nepalese Embassy in Washington DC after participating the Magic International show, around the second week of September and will discuss with the highly placed officials of the embassy including Deputy Chief of Mission, Mr. Rudra Nepal, with regard to the follow up of the garment bill likely to be reinstated in the US Senate.
